Use our Historical Data to Provide Data and Services to your Staff and Clients

If you already have a proprietary data distribution system and you use this to supply real-time and/or historical market data to your traders, middle office and back office staff or if you supply this information to a select group of your clients, we believe that that the addition of our Horizon data will add significant value to your service. If you are looking at this as a way to cut back on existing costs of such a service, we are very confident that we can replace one or more of your existing data suppliers at a lower cost per user than you are currently paying.

One of the outstanding features of our Horizon database is our devotion to maintaining the highest quality data of any data supplier in the financial sector. We would encourage you to read some of the comments from our regular users.

We can provide our data in a range of different methods for use in this way. Traditionally our clients have accessed the Horizon database using either:

1> Open Horizon, or
2> Horizon COM.

We now offer Web Services by which you can access our via the Internet.

The fundamental difference between Open Horizon/Horizon COM and Web Services is the way the data is supplied. Open Horizon and Horizon COM databases and software are installed on your own servers/terminals and are updated via the internet on a frequency that you choose. Some of our users download once a day and some users will download every few hours depending on their needs. The cost of accessing the Horizon data with either of these products is charged in blocks of the data currencies that you subscribe to. You don’t pay any additional cost for the frequency of the downloads.

DTS's Web Services offer access to the high quality historical Horizon database via the Internet using SOAP and REST functionality.  Registered users can now specify and download the data they require and so only pay for the data they use.  Web Services enables integration of the Horizon Database with Microsoft programs like Excel © using simple data queries, or incorporating DTS's historical data into web pages or other 3rd party applications.
