 Horizon Direct is an internet version of our flagship product Horizon Premium. The main difference between Horizon Direct and Horizon Premium is that the Horizon Database is not stored locally on the users PC or network but is accessed via the internet to one of the data servers maintained by DTS. In that respect it is a “light” version of Horizon Premium. One of the advantages of Horizon Direct is that there is no requirement to update the Horizon Database each day as each time a request is made from Horizon Direct the latest data is always available. Large requests for data over the internet can take a noticeable time to retrieve but this depends largely on the bandwidth available to the user. Specifically designed for use when you are away from the office environment, or for a single trader installation where a server configuration is not possible, Horizon Direct can be downloaded and trialled by clicking on the trial link on this page. The trial will allow access to a limited amount of data and will be activated for 14 days to give adequate time to consider the extensive functionality of the Horizon application. Horizon Direct has all the functionality of Horizon Premium and can be a cost effective way to get started with Horizon.
