Web Services for Risk Management Users Working in Banking Institutions and Hedge Funds

The development of our Web Services architecture enables DTS to supply its data, analytics and charting directly to users via the web. This will be of interest to traders, quants and analysts that work in front office roles in banking and hedge funds as it enables our users to incorporate our well regarded Horizon data in their own applications and analysis programs. 

There is no need to install software. With our pricing models you can choose which aspects of DTS’s data resources you want to incorporate into your own solutions.

It is already extremely easy to integrate our data into applications but we are also working on even easier ways to help users integrate our data into any of the following software solutions:

Having access to high quality static data is essential for risk management purposes but the Horizon database provides a lot more than just raw data. To see a summary of our full set of data go to the Horizon Database page. Much of the derived data that can be accessed by our web services infrastructure will save risk managers a lot of work creating their own derived data.

We also envisage enabling end users to have a fully browser based equivalent of DTS’s very popular Horizon application via web services at some stage in the very near future.

A few of the benefits of using web services in this way are:

(1)    you do not need to install any software, and
(2)    you can pick-and-choose the data and components you need because of the granularity DTS provides in the services. We believe that this should be an attractive package to end users.

In providing this solution to end users we provide documentation via the web to allow the end user to know the extent of the data and functionality that can be accessed. In design for future development is a user interface that automatically presents the end user with all the available options in a simple to use interface that can also be configured to show other data options available from other data vendors.
